About the escape room

The Harbor Hotel, an architectural gem, came to be from the dream of Herman and Ann Biesma. However, behind the shiny façade of the harbor hotel, there lurked a complex reality. Ann Biesma, a woman whose smile warmed the hearts of travelers, was trapped in a hell of domestic violence. A shocking tragedy took place at the Harbor Hotel. Ann Biesma was found after what appears to be a suicide, an event that has left deep marks. In an unexpected twist of fate, the role of leading the Harbor Hotel has now been passed on to her son, Dieter Biesma. This young heir, who previously lived in the shadow of the hotel, is now facing the challenge of continuing his parents' legacy. Will you follow in Dieter's footsteps?

AI Overview

AIPlayers praise the actor interaction and the video‑game‑like moments; it feels lively rather than pure horror. The puzzles are varied, thematic and fair, with a good flow. Lighting is sometimes on the darker side, making searching harder. The run is filmed and you watch funny moments back together afterwards, which neatly rounds off the experience.

WeaknessesSome areas are quite dark, which can make searching frustrating. If you’re after pure horror and constant chasing, this isn’t the best fit. An occasional reset hiccup, though the host fixes it quickly and playfully.

StrengthsStrong set design and a hotel setting that feels different from the standard. Actors and GM elevate the game with humor and timing. Puzzles fit the story nicely and add variety.

SecurityYou move a lot and sometimes fast, so sneakers are wise; lighting is intentionally dimmed. The crew keeps good watch and films your run to show highlights afterwards.

Level of fearMore suspenseful than scary, with a light spooky vibe and plenty of humor. No data on minimum age; check with the venue if you want to go with younger players.

Actors' gameActors playfully guide you through the story and react to your choices in a video‑game‑like way. The GM is witty, resolves issues smoothly, and makes the debrief memorable.

Quality of riddlesMix of original and classic puzzles logically woven into the plot. Fair and readable, with plenty of aha moments. Less focus on running for your life, more on smart combining.

PlotA stylish harbor hotel with a tragic family story; you follow in the footsteps of Dieter Biesma. You unravel step by step what hid behind the façade, without heavy‑handed horror.

Difficulty levelAverage difficulty with spikes due to darkness and pace. Great for teams with some experience or sharp beginners who enjoy interaction.
